WFAW is a commercial-free internet radio station based out of Kansas City founded on the idea that there IS better music out there.  Every concept of terrestrial radio sucks, and after years of frustrated listening, I decided to start a station that fit my standards.  Considering the huge breadth of music available, it makes no sense that the same songs get played 10 times a day. There are thousands of Indie bands and labels putting out incredible music that is mostly ignored by commercial radio,  and I want you to hear them.  If you still think Nirvana was the best thing to ever happen to Alternative music, this station probably isn’t for you.  If the thought of hearing Green Day one more time makes you want to stab yourself in the ear, we might just have the cure for what ails you.
